Kiwis STAT originated in 1998 when Miriam Martin then a doctor and locum herself recognised a need in the market to cover the shortfall of quality staff in the New Zealand and Australian medical industry, initially with a focus on the rural and remote areas.

As the challenge of recruiting and retaining staff in the rural areas grew, so did Kiwis STAT. The business has since expanded significantly, reflecting demand for qualified medical professionals with the right attitude.

Our first entry into the market began with recruiting and placing doctors, but Kiwis STAT soon began to include services for nurses and other medical professionals to match the health industry’s ever-increasing demand for qualified staff.

Recruitment of permanent positions utilises doctors from the United Kingdom, USA and other international destinations for those wanting to work in New Zealand and Australia.

Dr Miriam Martin, Director MBChB (1994) DCH, DipObst, DipCEM Miriam is the director of Kiwis STAT and AUSSTAT. She has locumed around NZ and NSW since 1998 visiting or working in most hospitals throughout New Zealand and Australia. Miriam has extensive experience in business management, clinical work as well as in hospital manager roles. Miriam's passion is to find great jobs for great doctors, so that patients everywhere can enjoy equal access to quality health care.

John Cleary, General Manager BAcc, BBS (Hons) With a resume boasting years of senior management experience in the telecommunications and recruitment industries in New Zealand and overseas, John is invaluable for his in-depth knowledge of the health industry. He is committed to providing the highest level of service to the market and drives the company tirelessly towards this end.
